Flagler County Trump Club General Meeting Minutes September 21, 2020 TIME: 6:33 p.m.
Board Members: In attendance: Mimi Kowalsky, President; Mike McElroy, Vice-President; Janet Clerke, Treasurer; Beverly Danko, Secretary; Joe Kubasky, Sales Chair; Ed Danko, Media Chair; Jim Green, Web Master; Shannon Rambow, Membership Chair Loretta Soulli, Office Manager (absent)
Welcome by the President: Mimi welcomed all attendees and then thanked everyone for their hard work.
Prayer: Led by Maureen Kubasky.
Pledge of Allegiance: Recited by all in attendance.
Secretary’s Report: Beverly Danko submitted the minutes of the August 17, 2020 meeting, which have previously been posted to the Trump Club website by the web master Jim Green. Mimi said members could review and notify her if there are requested corrections/changes.
Treasurer’s Report: Janet Clerke reported the balance as of September 21, 2020 was $14,279.24.
Membership Report: Report was made by Shannon Rambow, the new membership chair. There are 490 members per Shannon.
Sales: Joe Kubasky reported new Trump signs are going fast, there are about 40 remaining for donation. Finished original sign order; Trump/Pence and ordered another 100; blue from the REC, has about 15 remaining. Also have magnetic bumper stickers (about 200 left at office for free). Five hats remaining and some shirts, bumper stickers and small trump flags.
Web Master: 2,965 visitors since last report per Jim.
Events Chair: This chair is vacant.
Media Chair: Ed Danko informed the members that the second Trump billboard would be up on I-95 by the end of the week. Ed also stated that 25,000 people had viewed the first billboard on his Twitter page. Ed asked all the candidates in the room to stand up be recognized. Alan Lowe was the only candidate in the room, except for Ed Danko. Ed also announced that he is being endorsed by Lt. Col Oliver North who was doing a video endorsement of Ed for Palm Coast City Council.
Office Manager: Loretta Soulli was absent tonight. Mimi reported that 5,000 yard signs have gone out. The office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 to 2, 55 Plaza Drive, second floor by Outback. Nikki White said she brought free blue lives matter yard signs from the Heritage Foundation. Pick them up at the office per Joe or after the meeting tonight.
Old Business: None reported.
New Business. Mimi reported that the office will remain open through December 2020 and then close. Club needs to vote on going forward or ending. Everyone should think about it and vote at the next meeting on October 19. If the membership determines the club will go forward, a vote will be made at the December meeting on new officers, for those officers who decline to serve with a new club. Nikki White made a motion to vote via the website. Kay Alfonso seconded the motion. Ed asked Jim if he can handle that and he said he could. There being no opposition the motion carried.
Mimi announced an election night party starting at 7:00 p.m. at the VFW pavilion with pretzels, popcorn, hot dogs, then once the election is over moving inside to watch the returns on the big screen. Serving mac and cheese, apple fritters, and baked potato bar. There will be drinks and she is working with bar manager on that. Says a benefactor will pay for drinks. There will be a total limit of 200 people due to social distancing and the room size and attendees will include members only. Interested members should make reservations with Gina at firstname.lastname@example.org on a first come basis. Mimi called for volunteers for party preparation the night of the election and you can volunteer by signing up with Gina at email@example.com Mimi reported a total cost for the party of $3,850 and called for a vote by the members to approve the expenditure. Nikki made a motion to approve and Gina seconded the motion and after no further discussion the motion was unanimously approved.
Next Street Rally: Sat, Sept 26, 2020, corner of Palm Coast Parkway and Boulder Rock. Meet at the parking lot at Home Depot at 8:30 for sign distribution, then the rally is from 9 to 10 a.m. The following Saturday at the CVS near the library and the next following Saturday at the ABC liquor store. There being no further business to come before the members, a Motion was made by Ed to adjourn the meeting. The Motion to adjourn was seconded by Jack Lamb and unanimously approved. Meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
