Flagler Trump Club General Meeting Minutes January 20, 2020, 6:30 p.m.
Board Members: In attendance: Mimi Kowalsky, Chair Person/President; Mike McElroy, Vice-President; Janet Clerke, Treasurer; Beverly Danko, Secretary; Joe Kubasky, Fundraiser Chair; Ed Danko, Media Chair; Jim Green, Web Master; Bert Cordwell, Events Chair; Loretta Soulli, Office Manager; Kathy Kohn, Membership Chair

Pledge of Allegiance: Recited by all in attendance.
Secretary’s Report: Beverly Danko - Last month’s minutes were previously submitted by Nikki White, the former secretary and posted on the website. Mimi made a motion to approve and after no discussion, the minutes were unanimously approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Janet Clerke – The balance in the account as of January 20, 2020 was $12,643.60, not including donations collected from our grand opening.
Membership Chair’s Report: Kathy Kohn - As of today, there are 51 paid members.
Mimi reminded all attendees that yearly dues are $30 single and $50 per couple.
The Membership chair needs an assistant per Mimi. An attendee volunteered to help Kathy.
Fundraiser Chair’s Report: Joe Kubasky – Stated Grand Opening merchandise donations were successful. He will order more inventories after the Home Show. Many thanks go to Nancy McClure, who is making Trump jewelry for donations. Earrings are a $10 donation and bracelets are a $15 donation. Joe said if you want purchase merchandise to see him after the meeting. Merchandise for donation is also available at the club’s office and at all upcoming events. He has a sign-up sheet if a size/color is not in stock. Sign up, he will order and contact you once your order is received.
Web Master’s Report: Jim Green - Website up and running and up to date. Let him know if you have suggestions. Jim stated there were 6,008 visitors in the past two weeks.
Event Chair’s Report: Bert Cordwell - The Grand Opening was a big success.
600 people attended the office Grand Opening per Mimi. Everyone enjoyed the impersonator and many thanks go to Ed Danko for arranging the appearance.
Bert reminded all attendees of the upcoming events:
January 25 and 26, 2020 – Home Show, Flagler Palm Coast High School, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Volunteers have been secured, but we can always use a few more for cleanup and break relief. Please contact Bert to express your interest. Merchandise will be available for donation. He has created 1,000 buttons for this event!
February 22, 2020 – Fundraiser at the VFW with Italian Buffet and music, 5-9 p.m. Mike Kohn will provide the music. Tickets now on sale are $35 per person. Next Rally: Mimi stated our next rally will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Racetrack on 100 across from the Hilton. All signs need to be returned to the Trump Club. All are encouraged to rally! An informational email will be sent.
Media Chair’s Report: Ed Danko – Ed informed the membership that all local media was invited (except Flagler Live) to cover our office Grand Opening, but they did not show up. Instead, the Daytona News Journal decided to cover a left wing liberal anti-Trump women’s march at Flagler Beach, and The Observer simply ignored us. Ed also reported that we now have 90 followers on Instagram and encouraged others to follow. A couple of new, young attendees signed up during the meeting. Ed also expressed his thanks to the Trump Impersonator, his friend John Morgan, for making our Grand Opening a very special event.
Office Manager’s Report: Loretta Soulli – January office hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday. January shifts are mostly filled, but she encouraged all who are interested to contact her for February office volunteer shifts.
Mimi reminded everyone to visit the new office to purchase merchandise for donation. Joe is in charge of merchandise.
